to search for an email address in active directory
1, from dsa.msc
2, right click the domain (eg, company.local)
3, click "find..."
4, in the "find:" drop down, selected "Custom Search"
5, goto the advanced Tab
6, enter this as a LDAP query: (proxyaddresses=smtp:user@domain.com)
7, and this hit "Find Now"
